Active Teaching Lab: Accessibility and Universal Design for Learning

Friday, September 20, 2019 @ 8:30 am - 9:45 am

Besides helping those who need it, employing even a little Universal Design for Learning into your course open up many options for students to explore the content in ways that often make more sense to them than the default option might.

Walk-ins welcome but registration appreciated to ensure refreshments for all. Bring your laptop or mobile device for hands-on experimentation.

Active Teaching Labs are a collaboration between DoIT Academic Technology’s Faculty Engagement service and the UW-Madison Teaching Academy, with sessions held Wednesdays from 1:00-2:00 pm and Fridays from 8:30-9:45 am in the Middleton Building (1305 Linden Dr.), room 120. Check out upcoming Labs or read the recaps from past Labs. We build interdisciplinary conversations that are more emergent than a presenter and more dynamic than a panel — a conversation with colleagues sharing challenges, solutions, and experiments on topics selected by a variety of campus stakeholders.

Have opinions or experience on the topic? Sign up as a contributor.
