DoIT Academic Technology provides countless opportunities to gather on campus to learn and discuss a variety of topics. This includes pedagogical discussions and technology demonstrations through Faculty Engagement programs, learning technology trainings from Learn@UW, on-campus sessions for Information Technology Academy scholars, technology workshops from Software Training for Students and special campus events we host or co-host. Active Teaching Lab: Instructional Materials and Lectures in Canvas

November 9 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Ian Muehlenhaus, I-Pang Fu share a variety of ways to engage students and embed interactive content (PowerPoints to HTML5, simulationss, etc.). In this lab you can create and embed interactive content in Canvas. Bring your laptop or mobile device to get hands-on experience with Canvas tools as Muehlenhausa student. Bring a Sandbox course to work with the tools as an instructor!

Active Teaching Labs are held Fridays from 8:30-9:45am (and every other Thursday from 1-2pm, see events calendar for dates) in room 120, Middleton Building.
