DoIT Academic Technology provides countless opportunities to gather on campus to learn and discuss a variety of topics. This includes pedagogical discussions and technology demonstrations through Faculty Engagement programs, learning technology trainings from Learn@UW, on-campus sessions for Information Technology Academy scholars, technology workshops from Software Training for Students and special campus events we host or co-host. See the below calendar for upcoming events.

You can filter the calendar using Audience or Categories, which are the names of the DoIT AT service hosting the event. For Software Training for Students, you may use Tags to narrow it down to specific software workshops.

Active Teaching Lab: Navigation Solutions in Canvas

February 17 @ 8:45 am - 9:45 am

Navigation and scheduling have to be clear and comprehensive to help keep students on track in a one-credit L&S career course that greg-downeyalternates between lecture and discussion, with all assignment materials available online, and many outside participants (UW career advisers and alumni who Skype-visit sections). Greg Downey shares with us his navigation solutions in Canvas.

Registration is encouraged, but not required. Please scroll down to RSVP.

Active Teaching Labs are held every Friday from 8:45-9:45am (and every other Monday from 12:30pm-1:30pm, see events calendar for dates) in room 120, Middleton Building. Check out the upcoming labs or read the recaps from past labs. To stay informed about upcoming Labs, check back to this website or sign up for regular announcements by sending an email to join-activeteaching@lists.wisc.edu.
