CANCELLED – Active Teaching Lab: Universal Design for Learning

Friday, April 24 @ 8:30 am - 9:45 am

To support your transition to alternate modes of course delivery, the university hosts virtual events such as interactive labs in addition to working with vendors to provide tool-specific webinars. Recordings of some of the previously held webinars are also available.  See the https://instructionalcontinuity.wisc.edu/events/ for current events.

This Active Teaching Lab has been cancelled. You can receive updates about future labs by joining our listserv by emailing join-activeteaching@lists.wisc.edu.

Adding just one other option increases possibilities for students to connect deeply to content. We’ll look at several strategies you can use to improve learning in your course.

Walk-ins welcome but registration appreciated to ensure refreshments for all. Bring your laptop or mobile device for hands-on experimentation. Have opinions or experience on the topic? Sign up to contribute! It’s nice for us to know there are a few folks in the room who can help us answer questions. And we promise you’ll leave with a deeper understanding yourself!

Active Teaching Labs are a collaboration between DoIT Academic Technology’s Faculty Engagement service and the UW-Madison Teaching Academy, with sessions held Thursdays from 1-2pm and Fridays from 8:30-9:45am in the Middleton Building (1305 Linden Dr.), room 120. Check out upcoming Labs or read the recaps from past Labs. We build interdisciplinary conversations that are more emergent than a presenter and more dynamic than a panel — a conversation with colleagues sharing challenges, solutions, and experiments on topics selected by a variety of campus stakeholders.

Sign up for regular Lab announcements by sending an email to join-activeteaching@lists.wisc.edu.
