DoIT Academic Technology provides countless opportunities to gather on campus to learn and discuss a variety of topics. This includes pedagogical discussions and technology demonstrations through Faculty Engagement programs, learning technology trainings from Learn@UW, on-campus sessions for Information Technology Academy scholars, technology workshops from Software Training for Students and special campus events we host or co-host. See the below calendar for upcoming events.

You can filter the calendar using Audience or Categories, which are the names of the DoIT AT service hosting the event. For Software Training for Students, you may use Tags to narrow it down to specific software workshops.

Canvas Open Lab

September 1, 2017 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Canvas Open Lab is a responsive session designed to engage the UW-Madison community on Canvas-related technical and pedagogical challenges specific to our campus. Instructors, teaching assistants, and academic staff are invited to explore Canvas with our consultants, share ideas with each other, or just dedicate time to getting work done in Canvas. Registration is encouraged but not required. Please also add your questions you’d like to address to this Google Document

Questions are encouraged and participants should bring their own laptops.

Participants will also be made aware of additional online and face-to-face training resources. See all sessions scheduled for August 2017.

All credit-based courses can transition to Canvas, and can be accessed by logging into the Learn@UW Course Dashboard. Regardless of whether you already have courses in Canvas, we strongly encourage you to set up a sandbox course prior to the session, and please bring your laptop to these hands-on sessions.
