Wednesday, May 25, 2016 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Register

In this workshop, learn to help undergraduates apply what they’ve learned with authentic, problem-solving tasks. You will understand challenges and gain ideas in using problem solving to help students develop processes and skills that transfer to new problems.

Before the workshop, we recommend that you read challenges students face in learning and applying problem-solving processes, and potential strategies to address them. In the workshop, we’ll discuss selected strategies to help students grow in awareness and application of problem solving skills and processes. You will have time to collaboratively analyze the potential benefits and challenges of implementing these strategies in your course.

Handout: Guiding Students’ Problem Solving
