Teaching Effectively in Canvas – Applying Good Learning Principles in Canvas

Monday, May 21, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Register

A Teaching Effectively in Canvas session, Applying Good Learning Principles in Canvas focuses on developing a foundation of Universal Design for Learning in your Canvas course to reach your course learning objectives while providing opportunities for students to connect their prior experiences and personal learning preferences with course content — in a way that is manageable for instructors. Teach smarter with Canvas!

Regardless of whether you already have courses in Canvas, we strongly encourage you to set up a sandbox course prior to the session, and please bring your laptop to these hands-on sessions.

Teaching Effectively in Canvas is a Faculty Engagement program designed to help make good teaching easier for instructors. It is comprised of four guided face-to-face sessions. Each session focuses on different aspects of teaching and learning and includes examples and resources for doing them in Canvas. During May, DoIT Academic Technology services are hosting a variety of events to help instructors and instructional staff make the most out of Canvas. See all Canvas events scheduled for May 2018.
