The weekly collaborative sessions offer a hands-on opportunity to infuse research-based strategies into a course or classroom assignment, with practical tips and strategies designed to engage students, deepen learning, and make class time more active. Each Designing Learning Experiences (DLEx) Studio also provides time to draft and discuss ideas with colleagues on how to apply and adapt the teaching strategies to your course.
DLEx Studio sessions include:
- Support Materials: Prior to each event, we offer materials that summarize the workshop topic. These may be short handouts, links to websites or presentations, and are intended to take less than 30 minutes to review. We recommend you review these materials ahead of the class to better prepare for discussion, and for working on your course.
- In-Studio Activities: During the in-person workshop, we will review examples, facilitate questions, discussion and working time so you can start drafting a plan for your course.
DLEx Studio was previously known as Research-to-Classroom (R2C) Studio.
